I think it's really a personal thing because we all have different lifestyles and very different training objectives. As for sleep... if I am able to function well on 5-6 hours/night, I wonder how much better I could rock my world if I slept more LOL Sounds like an interesting read!Kim at Running on the Flyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03028968906430207641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2647157930116406632.post-23615321338128325992019-02-15T17:45:02.793-06:002019-02-15T17:45:02.793-06:00It was an easy, entertaining read!It was an easy, entertaining read!Wendy at Taking the Long Way Homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09934786207724059919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2647157930116406632.post-13459450702169413762019-02-15T14:26:18.288-06:002019-02-15T14:26:18.288-06:00I used to do ice baths when I was training for my ...I used to do ice baths when I was training for my first half marathon and I do think they helped my recovery. When my husband, Les, and his brother cycled across the country all they had time for was food and sleep. 2800 miles in 28 days didn't leave time for much else - they lost a little weight but never bonked. I would say they even felt stronger near the end as they trained their bodies to be even more efficient.Kathy McElhaneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03999643341879464989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2647157930116406632.post-76836557104116019822019-02-15T09:21:14.130-06:002019-02-15T09:21:14.130-06:00I think we do tend to overdo recovery--but if it g...I think we do tend to overdo recovery--but if it gives us a mental edge, then it's important!Wendy at Taking the Long Way Homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09934786207724059919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2647157930116406632.post-46896091996775013962019-02-15T09:20:37.153-06:002019-02-15T09:20:37.153-06:00I'm not the best about stretching but I do lik...I'm not the best about stretching but I do like yoga--that seems to make me feel better.Wendy at Taking the Long Way Homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09934786207724059919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2647157930116406632.post-53633667619854090292019-02-15T09:19:55.587-06:002019-02-15T09:19:55.587-06:00I feel like foam rolling and deep tissue massage h...I feel like foam rolling and deep tissue massage helps me a ton!Wendy at Taking the Long Way Homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09934786207724059919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2647157930116406632.post-87860278736304038312019-02-15T09:19:30.348-06:002019-02-15T09:19:30.348-06:00I love a good post run hot bath and you know I lov...I love a good post run hot bath and you know I love me some stretching!
