Ho ho ho! A little late with my annual Holiday Gift List, I wanted to once again share some of the things I've loved over the past year as well as a few things that I'm wishing for. If you read my blog regularly, you know that I'm spending more of my time on the trails and my list reflects that! But there are items here for any kind of runner. I hope you find something for yourself or for the runner in your life.
It's not a secret that I have a sock obsession! My go-to socks for the trails are Swiftwick crew socks. Not only are they comfortable and don't give me blisters, but they also have really fun patterns! Swiftwick recently released a National Park Series and you know I ordered the Yellowstone ones. It wasn't an easy decision though, since I've been to several of the parks featured in their series. So many parks, so little time!
It's been a really stressful year and I am so grateful to be back running again. The road is a really good listener, isn't it? But running isn't always enough to combat stress. I was lucky to be able to trial and review the Happify app. Happify is an evidence-based app that can help you focus your thoughts to reduce negativity and anxiety. It would be a great gift to give to a loved one or to yourself! Download the app from the App Store or the Google Play Store.
I have a hard time finding gloves that I like. A few months ago, I saw these new reflective gloves from Nathan and decided to try them. They are lined and have 'Tru-Touch' technology for touch screens. I've worn mine quite a bit and I think I've found my forever gloves. I'm not thrilled about the color options, but at this point, it's more important to keep my hands warm and these gloves do a great job with that!
I couldn't share my favorite things without mentioning ChilWellness's Aspen's Maximum Relief Pain CBD Salve. This CBD-infused product works better on my achy joints than ibuprofen and without the side effects. I love it. My other 2 favorite ChilWellness products include Aspen's Maximum Relief CBD Roll-on Stick and Ultimate Mellow Mint Drops. As an RA sufferer, I can attest to their effectiveness.
Subpar Parks: America's Most Extraordinary Parks and Their Unimpressed Visitors by Amber Share is a fun compilation of all the most popular National Parks with information about each of them, accompanied by beautiful illustrations. The author also includes some negative reviews of the parks posted on the website, which are pretty funny. Be sure to check out the author's IG page as well!
What's on your holiday wish list? Are you shopping for yourself too?
I'm linking up with Kim and Zenaida for Tuesday Topics, with the Runners' Roundup: Debbie, Deborah, Jen, Laura, and Lisa.
Oh that book "Subpar Parks" sounds hilarious! I love reading 1-star reviews, especially if the writers are obviously clueless.
ReplyDeleteI love that the Baleaf pullover has a pass-through pocket at the front! It must be so easy to stuff your buff, gloves or hats away in the pocket.
Do the things stay put in the pocket, even without a zipper?
They do! The only thing I noted was that when i put my phone in it, it kept sliding around, which was kind of annoying. It would be better for stashing things like you mentioned--gloves, buff, hats.
DeleteLove the park socks! What a fun idea! I have the Cozy Karma Recover Joggers from Athleta and oh are they ever nice now that it's so cold!
ReplyDeleteI will have to check those joggers out! I'm all about being comfy.
DeleteI have the same orange shirt - love it. Wore it on my last two races.
ReplyDeleteI could use warm gloves and new trail shoes (if I choose to run on them).
I'm looking for trekking poles!
DeleteI like the color of those gloves! And the pattern! I really like convertible gloves, though, so I can just flip the top when my hands warm up (if they do).
ReplyDeleteThe National Park book sounds interesting, too.
There is a convertible version of the gloves, but they had low ratings. I don't know why. But I will say these are plenty warm for now.
DeleteThese are all great ideas, especially the Happify app. I think the last two years have shown us that we have to take care of our mental health and physical health.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy the Happify app as I've continued to use it even though I've been done with the campaign for several months.
DeleteI just added those pajama pants to my wish list! I live in sweatpants and pajamas whenever Im home, especially in the winter. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI love the pj pants--I now own 4 pairs!
DeleteI could use some warmer socks! I have not tried Swiftwick yet thanks for the rec
ReplyDeleteI love Swiftwick crew socks for the trails. The fun patterns make me smile and my feet are always happy in them.
DeleteGreat gift ideas! Love the socks and I got the book for my daughter. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI bought the book for my brother-in-law. It's just great.
DeleteI wonder if it says something about me that the first item I clicked on was the pajama pants? Hmmm... Also, that book sounds so great. If you go on amazon and read one star reviews, they can be pretty funny. And who leaves a bad review for a National Park? I'm sure those reviews are extra special and hilarious. I may have to get this book for myself.
ReplyDeleteI may do the same! People are something, aren't they?
DeleteI love your list!! The gloves look really nice (I might use those for everyday!) and I've been thinking about CBD oil..
ReplyDeleteI use the CBD oil when I can't sleep. It works amazingly well to quiet my mind.
DeleteI need to check out those gloves - I feel like I am in a forever search for a good pair! And I'm all about comfy too - I love the pattern on those PJ bottoms!
ReplyDeleteI actually like the gloves a lot. I wore them yesterday when it was really cold and they kept my hands warm.
DeleteThose Amazon Pajama Pants, YES!!!! I'm all for comfort when I'm around the house and those have the perfect design and pattern!
ReplyDeleteThose pajama pants were an impulse buy and they were a win!
DeleteHow is the fit of the pajama pants? I want to buy some new ones.
ReplyDeleteThey are true to size.
DeleteGreat ideas. I have so many gloves I’ve collected trying to find just the right pair. I’ll check those out.
ReplyDeleteI have the same issue with gloves! I like these the best of all my gloves. Be sure to measure before you order--it really helped get the right size!
DeleteGreat ideas! I love the lounge pants.
ReplyDeleteThey are soooo comfy!
DeleteSubpar Parks is my favorite! People are just wild.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of those glovoes.
The gloves are really good!
DeleteThat Subpar book sounds like a fun read! People crack me up even when they make me roll my eyes at the same time.
ReplyDeleteThat's the best attitude!
