Instead, I thought about the table in my kitchen where my boys used to play at. Since they outgrew this table, it has become a catch-all for my running essentials. I have a basket for all the small stuff I need but it is overflowing! I thought it might be fun to do a video log while I go through the box. And here we go:
And it was more than 5 things....#FridayEight?
Love the video! We had custom made bottle bands for MRTT see you will fit right in! Fun to see you in person. I was trying to imagine what your accent sounded like.
ReplyDeleteEveryone tells me I'm all Chicago....LOL! It's fun to hear people's voices, I think...
DeleteGreat video blog!! Where did you get the water bottle holders and what kind of water bottle does it hold? I'm so interested in this. :) xoxox
DeleteI misspoke in the video...they aren't bondi bands (those are for hair); they're bottle bands! You can find them here: http://bottleband.net/
DeleteYour video blogs were totally my inspiration!
Great Wendy! It is fun to put a voice with the face! I would be all southern drawl...believe me, it's not pretty. I need to get bondi bands for the water bottle. Does it just slip on a regular 16 ounce bottle? My handhelds leak and this drives me insane. I also don't like the valves on the handhelds and prefer the opening of a regular water bottle with screw cap. PS. I think I've decided on a July marathon in CO.
ReplyDeleteI'm all Chicago, or so I"m told! I love the bondi band. I've used it on a 16 ounce bottle and 24 ounce. It works great.
DeleteVery cool idea to do a video for it. Enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI have never heard of tailwind! I'll have to check those out. And I don't do videos - I can't stand the way that I sound on video (ha). But you sound so adorable. It was nice to put a voice with the face!
ReplyDeleteIt's always weird to hear your own voice, I think...but I was tired and wanted to post something! This was kind of fun and I learned a lot about posting a video...
DeleteFun! So smart of you to keep all your stuff in one spot. I learned that the hard way and still tend to leave some in the kitchen and some in other spots of the house.
ReplyDeleteWell, I do have another box of stuff by my treadmill too! It was hard to limit myself to only 5 things...as you saw, I couldn't do it!
DeleteLoved the video! Those bondi bands are cool! I need something like that. Very cool to see what's on your table.
ReplyDeleteThanks for watching! I misspoke...they are bottle bands, not bondi bands. But regardless, they are awesome. Used one this morning on my run!
DeleteLoved the video ! I have a heart rate monitor that I never use either. I felt it constricted my chest and blocked my breathing.
ReplyDeleteIt just didn't work for me--one of those tools that I could live without!
DeleteI have a basket of running stuff I keep in a cabinet by the front door - my headlamp and reflective vest are the main items.
ReplyDeleteI like to have everything handy!
DeleteLOVED this!!!! Great to have a voice to go with that awesome smile :-) I have a basket near the back door (mudroom) that has all my goodies in it, and a shoe box underneath that has tons of race expo giveaways on standby LOL. I never thought about sharing the contents with the general (running) public......(stay tuned)
ReplyDeleteLInking up with some of the blogs has been great for generating ideas! It's fun to see what everyone else does too!
Deleteso fun!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Deleteack i am SO not into listening to myself talk. love your video though - thanks for linking up :)
ReplyDeleteThis was a fun one. I wasn't up for taking pictures of everything and I've been wanting to try a video post. It wasn't so bad, Courtney!
DeleteFun!! I love that you made this into a v-log :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for watching it!
DeleteYey! Love the video blog!! Great to put a voice to the face :) I just tried Tailwind for the first time this weekend and I was so excited to try and hopeful that I would like it so I could avoid bringing a lot of gels with me to Paris....tell me more. Do you need to take gels when you use it? I wasn't too excited about the taste, it was a little sweet. Would love to hear your thoughts!
ReplyDeleteI used the Tailwind for my marathon and had great success with it. I used the Berry flavor and looking back, thought it was a little sweet too. Now I'm using the "naked" flavor and that is just fine by me... I drank one 24 ounce bottle per hour, which is what they recommend. Fuel-wise, it was fine. I didn't need to use any gels. I did cramp at the end, but I'm not sure if it was dehydration ( I drank a lot!) or just my muscles crying uncle!
DeleteYou're totes adorbs! Muah 😘
ReplyDeleteAWww...it was your video that inspired me to do this, BTW...
