Mini Book Reviews: August 2026

With no NetGalley reads for August, I decided to dig into my Kindle library and read some of the many Kindle Daily Deals that I've downloaded lately. I also had 4 library holds that all came in later in the month. I'm pleased to say that there is not one disappointing book on my list. I'm also hard-pressed to pick a favorite, but if I had to---ok, I can't. You'll have to read them and decide for yourself!

Hi, I'm Wendy! I've been a runner for many years and have shared my adventures on this blog for the past 10 years or so. Running is my passion and it's been such a gift, bringing not only confidence and fitness into my life but also some really amazing people. Although I'm no longer running long distance races, I'm still lacing up and putting in the work. Most of my miles have moved to the dirt--for the past 6 years, I've been spending most of my time on trails. I also enjoy strength training/CrossFit, yoga, and waterskiing.
