10 Unique Gifts for the Mother Runner in Your Life

Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links.

Better late than never, right? Mother's Day is just 2 days away! I feel like it snuck up on me. How did that even happen? I'm embarassed to say that I haven't shopped for my mom yet. Since most of us are staying at home, it's not like we don't have the time to shop. I feel like the busier I am, the more I get done, but now with all this time on my hands, things seem to be not getting done.

How will you be spending Mother's Day? It looks like my sisters and I will Zoom chat with my mom. I look forward to the day when I can see my family again. In the meantime, I've been preparing this list of cool gifts for the mother runner in your life. I'll be forwarding it to my men...let's see if they take the hint!

Coffee of the Month Club
It's no secret that many of us runners love to get our preworkout in some form of caffeine. We runbloggers even have a monthly Coffee Date! So what better gift than the coffee of the month club--the gift the keeps on giving? I found a few coffee clubs, but the overwhelming favorite is Atlas. Each month coffee from a different country is featured. You can choose your roast and whether or not you want whole bean or ground. Normally this is $14/month but for Mother's Day, the first shipment is $10 off. There's also a 6 month subscription on sale for $99.

This insulated mug is pretty cute, just saying...

Inflatable Air Couch
Ok, this is just about the coolest thing I've seen. I was thinking about recovery and was considering getting a hammock and then this came up in my search results. Now I want one! The company calls it a hammock chair, but it's an inflatable couch/lounge chair that comes in all kinds of cool patterns. I could imagine using it in the backyard...or if you're a camper, at the campground...or if we ever get to go to music festivals again...

Weighs just 3#, easy to inflate

On the Run Pasta
Don't think for one second that I'm suggesting you gift a bag of pasta to your favorite mom. But how about making her a dinner using this amazing runner-shaped pasta? Or a pasta salad lunch? Don't forget the protein. Do you need recipe ideas? Check out this cookbook. I have it and it's chock-full of good recipes!

World's Okayest Runner Coloring Book
Because we're all still sheltered at home--and we need something to occupy our time when we're not running. Adult coloring books are a great way to unwind and this one is custom made for runners. Don't forget the colored pencils!

Cool Sunglasses
Retro in the best way, these Wonder Woman inspired sunglasses from Goodr need to be on my face! And on every other moms' faces. Because moms really are superheroes. Best of all, they won't break the bank.

Sadly, face masks are here to stay, at least for the time being. So why not purchase some masks with flare for the mom in your life? Inknburn is making masks, using their unique designs, for healthcare workers. They sell a few every day to the public. New designs are released daily at 6 pm PST; you can view the daily releases on their website so you can decide which mask to purchase ahead of time. The masks have been incredibly popular and sell out as soon as the website releases them. The best advice I have for you to get the design you want is to be on the website a few minutes before the release and be prepared to pay immediately once you have the mask in your cart. It will be worth it!

Being stuck at home means we are all exercising outdoors more than ever! Show mom you care about her and buy her a roadID! There are a variety of options and colors and you can personalize it make it special for her. My personal favorite is the 13mm sport band. I wear mine on my wrist right above my watch. It's light and unobtrusive, but there if anyone needs it.

Even the mother who doesn't love to read will love my current favorite, Run to the Finish by runblogger Amanda Brooks. Amanda shares her wisdom and experience in a an engaging, run read about everything running. This would be a great gift for the new runner and the experienced runner. Need other ideas? Check out my book reviews. There's something for everyone!

  1. Runner-shaped pasta! That's hilarious! Also, I really like the inkburn face mask.
This mother's day me and my siblings will be having a zoom happy hour with my mum, too. She'll love that.

  2. Have a great mother's day, Wendy! That inflatable couch looks really cool. Is it puncture proof (the dogs, you know).

We've been discussing what to do in our backyard. Mr. Judy has an assignment. :) But I was talking about a hammock between a few of our trees back there.

I also didn't start shopping for my mom until a few days ago. My sister will socially distance visit her (she goes once a week, she lives much closer), and she's getting her something so I will just contribute.

  7. That coffee is a great idea. Because like you said what Mom doesn't function without caffeine? I saw an inflatable air couch while I was waiting in the Runner's village during NYC marathon. I thought that was a clever idea. I wonder if they deflated it and put it in dry bag or just discard it when they were done?

  12. Way late to the post, but I love the coloring book idea! Just ordered a copy for myself and my BRF! We have the time to color now, right (we are both teachers, and schools here are already finished for the 2019-2020 school year)?
